By train

Exit the Santa Lucia train station in Venice and go to the left along Lista di Spagna for 100 meters; the Adriatico Hotel is on your left, next to a footwear store.

By car

Park in one of the garages in Piazzale Roma (if you choose the San Marco, the Adriatico Hotel gives you a 10% discount) or Tronchetto, then take steamboat line 1 or 2 and get off at the station. Then follow the indications in the section 'By train’. Another option is to go on foot along the foundation of the Grand Canal, go across the Ponte degli Scalzi, turn right, continue for 100 m and on your left you will see the Adriatico Hotel.

By plane

From the Marco Polo Airport in Tessera, take ACTV bus line 5 or the ATVO pullman to Piazzale Roma (20 minutes); then continue as indicated in the section 'By car’. Another option is to take a taxi to Piazzale Roma, a water taxi to Campiello dei Sabbioni (1 minute from the hotel), or the Alilaguna shuttle to the Ponte delle Guglie (3 minutes from the hotel).

Location

The 2-star Adriatico Hotel faces Lista di Spagna, a lively street with plenty of shops only 10 minutes from Piazzale Roma and close to the Santa Lucia train station. Only 100 meters separate the hotel from the steamboat stop, which, travelling along the suggestive scenery of the Grand Canal, arrives to the historic heart of Venice.

Hotel in Venice

Walking along the Strada Nuova you get to the Rialto market, with shops and mercerie, and the Piazza San Marco, Venice`s living room: this is an immense space paved in stone from Istria that, beyond the silhouette of the basilica and the Palazzo Ducale, opens to Riva degli Schiavoni, revealing the island of San Giorgio.

The special location of the Adriatico Hotel allows guests to comfortably visit all the angles of the more authentic Venice, hidden in the zone of the old Jewish Ghetto and the silent foundations of Cannaregio, where you can discover a traditional Venetian inn and the splendid gothic church of the Madonna dell’Orto.

Hotel in Venice

A few minutes from the hotel you will find the corner market of the Ponte delle Guglie, the Palazzo Vendramin Calergi - the maximum expression of the Venetian Renaissance and location of the Casinò - the prestigious gallery of Cà Pesaro, and the Cà d’Oro, an extraordinary building mirrored on the Grand Canal that is today a museum housing works by Mantegna and Tiziano.

Cannarecium

The Adriatico Hotel is located in Cannaregio, after Castello, Venice's largest and most populated district. Crossed by the canal of the same name linking the Grand Canal to the lagoon, since remote times Cannaregio was distinguished by the enormous number of canneti, reeds used by the Malipiero family to burn fires that melted the tar used to waterproof Venetian vessels. With a wealth of palaces, churches and traditional pubs, this district is the ideal place to walk around while thinking and daydreaming, along streets and foundations that silently lead to the bewitching scenario of the lagoon, or in front of the islands of San Michele and Murano, or the Chiesa della Misericordia on the road to Castello, far from traditional tourist crowds, let yourself be wooed by more authentic Venice.
